The importance of the thermal deaerator in boiler operations
In industrial environments, every stage of a process directly impacts equipment performance, and this is equally true for steam generation systems. The thermal deaerator, responsible for the deaeration process, is an essential piece of equipment for ensuring proper boiler feedwater quality and the reliable operation of the entire system.

Before undergoing the deaeration process, water naturally contains dissolved gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide. These gases act as corrosive agents that can accelerate the oxidation of tubes, valves, and other system components.
Additionally, when water is heated to the high operating temperatures of a boiler, these gases tend to expand within the system, negatively affecting heat transfer and, consequently, overall equipment performance.
It is in this context that the thermal deaerator plays a fundamental role. By heating the water with steam, the deaerator promotes the removal of these undesirable gases. The water is atomized and brought into contact with steam, allowing thermal separation to occur and enabling the dissolved gases to be released and vented from the system.
This process also raises the temperature of the water before it enters the boiler, contributing to higher thermal efficiency and reducing the amount of fuel required for steam generation.
