Usina Alto Alegre
Pin Hole Grate
With a processing capacity of approximately 9 million tons of sugarcane, Usina Alto Alegre produces 17 million bags of crystal sugar, 5 million bags of refined sugar, and 205 million liters of fuel ethanol, operating with 54 MW of installed power for cogeneration.
To meet the growth of the Florestópolis – PR Unit, Alto Alegre acquired from HPB a new steam generating unit that will use sugarcane bagasse and leaves as fuel.
The selected boiler, whose design phase has already been completed by HPB, belongs to the VS 500 line and will be of the type suspended by metallic structures, “single drum”, with membrane wall panels in the furnace, heat recovery through economizers and air preheaters, and equipped with a combustion system using a “Pin Hole” grate.
