Papel Misionero
Bubbling Fluidized Bed (BFB)
Located in the ecological region of Misiones – Argentina, Papel Misionero, after a bidding process among the best international technologies, chose HPB/B&W Bubbling Fluidized Bed technology for its new power boiler.
With the main objective of achieving electrical self-sufficiency and reducing dependence on fuel oil, this boiler will produce the steam required by the industrial unit through the combustion of wood residues available at the plant.
Technical Characteristics
Natural circulation boiler, single drum, convective bank with smooth tubes, superheater divided into two modules: the first in counterflow and the second in parallel flow with the gases, suspended by a steel structure and furnace built with water-cooled membrane walls.
Bubbling Fluidized Bed, using sand as inert material, with a fully open bottom design, allowing complete removal of foreign materials such as stones, metallic residues, and others.Bed temperature control is carried out by combining primary air and gas recirculation.
Heat recovery will be performed by an economizer, installed at the boiler outlet, followed by a primary air preheater and a secondary air preheater.
An Electrostatic Precipitator, installed before the induced draft fan, ensures particulate emissions remain below 50 mg/Nm³.
