Goodyear Brazil, aiming to meet the increasing demand for tires in the automotive sector, acquired a new steam generator to be installed at its Americana plant, in the state of São Paulo.

This steam generator belongs to the FM line from The Babcock and Wilcox Company – Barberton – Ohio – USA, and has the capacity to produce 27 t/h of saturated steam at 17 bar pressure, fired by natural gas.

The steam generator was fully manufactured and assembled at HPB’s industrial facility, with commercial operation starting in December 2013.
