ETH - Rio Claro
Rotating Grate
With the aim of significantly increasing electricity cogeneration, ETH, through its Rio Claro unit, acquired from HPB the second boiler for its industrial plant in Caçú - GO.
The unit already operates a 260 t/h steam boiler with HPB technology under the same pressure and temperature conditions.
Technical Features
Natural circulation boiler, single drum, convection bundle in plain tubes, superheater divided into two modules, with the first in counterflow and the second in parallel flow to the gases, suspended by a metal structure and furnace constructed with membrane tubes.
Rotating grate for continuous ash discharge, allowing combustion of sugarcane bagasse with mineral impurities up to 30 kg/ton of cane.
Grate composed of two central cooled bearings, one front and one rear, with the remaining bearings fully external to the furnace.
Heat recovery through two economizer modules and three air preheater modules.
A low pressure venturi type gas scrubber ensures low particulate emissions with reduced circulating water consumption.
