Bunge - Rio Grande
Bubbling Fluidized Bed (BFB)
Bunge, a global leader in agribusiness, ingredients, and food, operates a port terminal and a soybean crushing plant in the city of Rio Grande (RS). Seeking to strengthen its presence in the region, the company acquired a new HPB boiler.
Satisfied with the partnership, the company once again selected a combustion system equipped with a Bubbling Fluidized Bed (BFB) and a particulate emission control system using an Electrostatic Precipitator. In this way, the plant will benefit from highly efficient combustion and particulate emissions below 50 mg/Nm³.
The project will use wood chips and various forestry and agricultural residues as fuel. The equipment will have a production capacity of 80,000 kg/h of saturated steam at 15 bar(g) and will be prepared for future operation at 67 bar(g).
Present in Brazil for almost 120 years, Bunge has established itself as one of the country’s largest food producers and plays an important role in the development of renewable energy solutions.
