Alto Alegre - Usina Santo Inácio

Pin Hole Grate

The Usina Alto Alegre is responsible for the cultivation, extraction, production, and industrialization of sugarcane. This results in products such as ethanol and sugar, marketed both nationally and internationally, as well as the generation of electric power.

Since the inauguration of its first unit in Colorado (PR), the company has invested in innovation and expansion, reaching five units across the states of São Paulo and Paraná.

The Usina Santo Inácio, located in the city of the same name in Paraná, was inaugurated in 2007 and is one of the company’s most modern units. Now, Alto Alegre takes another step in the development of this plant with the acquisition of a new HPB steam generation system.

The boiler has a nominal production capacity of 200,000 kg/h of superheated steam at 520 ºC and 67 bar, fueled by sugarcane bagasse combustion.

The steam produced by this equipment will be used for cogeneration at the mill - both for electric power generation through a turbo generator and to meet the process demands of sugar and ethanol production.

This will be the second HPB boiler acquired by Alto Alegre, following the successful operation of the unit supplied to the Florestópolis plant, similar to the new equipment.

The steam generator features integrated HPB / B&W technology throughout all processes, from fans to the emission control system, reducing interfaces and making the operation simpler and more reliable.
