Agrícola Alvorada
Bubbling Fluidized Bed (BFB)
For 22 years, Agrícola Alvorada has been actively operating in the soybean and corn trading market, providing agronomic consulting and the necessary inputs to help its clients increase their production.
Headquartered in Primavera do Leste, Mato Grosso, the company was founded with the goal of working under three complementary business models: direct purchase, barter, and input sales.
In 2017, Agrícola Alvorada entered into a partnership with Bunge Alimentos with the objective of expanding its market presence and offering more benefits to clients in each transaction.
With the rise of the corn ethanol market in Brazil, the company invested in a new plant in Canarana, Mato Grosso. To meet the steam demand for industrial operations, Agrícola Alvorada acquired an HPB boiler with B&W technology, capable of producing 100,000 kg/h of superheated steam at 530 ºC and 67 bar pressure.
The selected equipment features Bubbling Fluidized Bed (BFB) technology, which allows the boiler to operate with multiple fuel combinations, providing greater flexibility in the use of alternative fuels that reduce operating costs.
This technology also delivers high combustion efficiency, saving fuel, reducing ash generation, and lowering emission levels.
In addition, the BFB ensures more stable operation and greater reliability, generating steam in a more controlled manner for the process. Higher operational availability and reduced maintenance costs were also decisive factors in its selection, given the plant’s long operational campaigns.
The emission control system chosen for the project represents the most efficient solution for capturing particulate matter: the Electrostatic Precipitator. This technology, offered by HPB/B&W, ensures minimal environmental impact, high efficiency, and low maintenance, contributing to higher availability of the steam generation system.
