The Pin Hole Grate consists of a set of cast elements mounted on the extension of the rear furnace wall tubes. They are part of the unit's water circulation system, keeping the grate properly cooled.

The cast elements are made from a special alloy that withstands high air temperatures and feature calibrated holes to allow the passage of combustion air.

The holes are sized and shaped to provide complete and uniform air distribution across the entire grate.

Among the grate elements, some are special, equipped with low-pressure steam nozzles to sweep ash down to the lower part of the grate. In this region, a tilting grate section discharges the ash into the ash hoppers.

The elements with nozzles are strategically installed to ensure efficient sweeping of the entire grate length by the steam jets.

Control valves and steam piping for this purpose are included in the supply.

The Pin Hole Grate is divided into independent sections, which together provide sufficient free area to release the necessary heat for burning the specified fuel.

Grate cleaning is performed periodically without interrupting the bagasse feed and, consequently, without any interference in steam generation.
